MORE MUSICIANS FOR ECUADOR
DUTCH PEOPLE HAVE A HISTORY WITH WATER. Look at the history books and you know why. They basically live beneath sea level and make it work. On our end at the orphanage in Ecuador we need water. No one better to ask for help like the Dutch. My friend and fellow musician Sjoerd van den Broek became my passionate and tireless torchbearer.
In June, Dutch musicians got together to make sure our orphanage can get their much needed water supply system built. Everyone came together for a big benefit concert in Holland. It was a blast ! I was there with Danielle and we were excited and humbled at the same time because of this outpouring of support and love. The music was spot on and everyone involved gave their all to make it a flawless night. Even the entire crew and staff of the venue did not want to get paid and donated a big portion of the bar sales to the children.
The kids were there as well because on the big video screen behind the bands I could see my lovely children having fun in their courtyard. When I wanted to thank the crowd for helping with my ‘water project’ , I struggled after my first sentence. Emotions got the better of me. But I hope I thanked everyone and please know I am not forgetting what you did for those kids that have become my purpose in life. Nothing else matters.
VANDERLINDE. One of the bands performing at this benefit concert has extended their gift to our orphanage. All proceeds from their live concert album ‘LIVE TRAILS’ will directly go our foundation. 100 %. If you like to see your donation being rewarded with some great music, just click on these links. In Europe you will have the option for a physical CD. The rest of the world can download the album through iTunes or Apple music. What can you expect ? Here’s a video from that concert. The beautiful ‘Little Things’. Make it yours !
